What next? Typically we would go back 10 days after our court date and pick up Jacob. Our last trip should be 10-14 days. We need to get his passport, visa, a doctor visit and register him with the Russian Consulate. I have no idea what order those things happen in either.
Because of the holidays, we are not able to do this so easily. The US Embassy is closed the 25th,25th, 31st-11th. I believe that we need to get his visa in the US Embassy - but don't quote me on this... Russia celebrates their Christmas on January 7th. Everything in Russia shuts down the 25th, 31st-11th. If we came back to get him on the 26th, we would not get it all done before the holiday and would need to stay quite awhile longer.
We think that we will come back on the 10th. It is a hard decision to not be able to have Jacob for the holidays. We were really hoping that that would have worked out. Well actually, it is not our decision, they tell us when to come back and we have been told by some that it will be the 10th.
